On Friday, September 6, 2019, the Music Project celebrated the Grand Opening of its new facility in downtown Everett with many friends, neighbors, and partners. The spirit of joy and community was evident throughout the event. Thank you to everyone who came to warm the new space.
It was also an honor to acknowledge two key people in the organizational growth of the Music Project during such a great celebration. Vasheti Quiros, current Executive Director, recognized the contributions of Roger Pawley, the founding Executive Director, and Marilyn Sheldon, the coordinator for Tulalip Tribes Charitable Contributions. The dedication of these individuals has profoundly shaped the success of the Music Project.
The Music Project extends special thank you to City of Everett Mayor Cassie Franklin for gifting her time and words. Her support of music therapy continues to encourage the staff. Additionally, the Music Project received generous gifts of time, finances and talents from Milbrandt Vineyards, Stark Bulkheads of Composite Aquatic Innovations, Kelsey Lee Music, Cheesecakes By Nikka, Chef Caleb Samp, Diedrich Espresso and Chef Dane Catering. A heartfelt thanks to all the contributed to a wonderful event.
The Music Project looks forward to many years of healing, joy, and hope in its work with residents of Snohomish County.
